Andrey Radionov was born on May 20, 1975 in the city of Kushva of the Sverdlovsk region.

Since 1996 – electronics engineer of the Nosov Magnitogorsk Mining and Smelting Academy.

В 1997  Andrey Radionov obtained the Diploma in Engineering with the specialization in Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations and Technological Complexes  in the Nosov Magnitogorsk Mining and Smelting Academy.

Since 2000 – electronics engineer, Deputy Head of the Educational Department, Assistant to the Rector, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Nosov Magnitogorsk Mining and Smelting Academy.

In 2000 Andrey Radionov defended his dissertation and obtained the academic degree of Candidate of Sciences (Engineering).

In 2003 Andrey Radionov was given the academic title of Associate Professor at the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations.

In 2008 – the Head of the Department of the Nosov Magnitogorsk Mining and Smelting Academy.

In 2009 Andrey Radionov defended his dissertation and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Sciences (Engineering).

In 2010 the Vice-Rector obtained the academic title of Professor at the Department of Automated Electric Drive and Mechatronics.

In 2012 – Deputy Head of the Educational Department of South Ural State University.

Since September 2012 – the Dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering and the Head of the Department of Theoretical Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering of South Ural State University.

In 2013 Andrey Radionov was assigned as an advisor at the Rector's office of South Ural State University.

Since 2014 – Vice-Rector of SUSU for Academic Affairs.

Andrey Radionov is the author of 196 scientific and educational works, including 5 monographs, 14 patents and certificates, 12 textbooks (1 of which is admitted for teaching students by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, 2 are admitted by the Educational and Methodical Association on Education in the field of power and electrical engineering and 4 are admitted by the Educational and Methodical Association on Education in the field of metallurgy).

He is an award winner of the Government of the Russian Federation in science and technology for young scientists (2008), corresponding member of the Academy of Electrical Sciences of the Russian Federation, award winner of the Government of the Russian Federation in science and technology.
