Scientists of South Ural State University elaborated a unique technology for manufacture of products made of carbon graphite materials with high performance properties. The new technology will be applicable in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, electric power industry and electrical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, atom power engineering and rocket and space industry.

SUSU Will Celebrate Its Anniversary by Opening New Laboratories and Holding Festivals and Exhibitions

On December 15 of 2018, South Ural State University is to celebrate the 75th anniversary from its foundation day. Active preparation for the celebration, which is going to take place within five days, 10th through 14th of December, is being carried out at SUSU. Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor Vladimir Kozheurov is the founder of the school of Physical Chemistry of Metallurgical Systems and Processes. In the years of the war, with an acute shortage of qualified staff, V.A. Kozheurov provided theoretical training to future metallurgical engineers. At the same time, together with O.A. Esin he worked on proton transition during the electrolytic discharge of hydrogen ions.

SUSU Students Help with Maintenance of Wind Plants in Crimea

Students of the SUSU Institute of Engineering and Technology have come back from Crimea where they were taking internship. Master’s students Aleksey Miroshnichenko, Anton Guselnikov and Igor Zamchalkin were working at one of the wind-driven power plants. Among the tasks set before the young men were inspection, maintenance and repairs of the equipment.
