Ten bravehearts: students of Trade and Economic Faculty are conquering China again

Within the framework of academic mobility program ten students of Trade and Economic Faculty are getting ready for the trip to China to study over there for one semester. On March 11 they will leave Russia to start their training course in People's Republic of China.

During 16 weeks students from Trade Economics, Commodity Science and Consumer Products Inspection, Business and Competitiveness Valuation Departments of Trade and Economic Faculty will be trained within the academic mobility program in Shandong University of Business and Technology (Yantai, Shandong province).

Shandong province, where the University is located, is the biggest business and culture center in the Chinese resort area on the seashore of the Yellow Sea.

SUSU Trade and Economic Faculty has established close partnerships with Shandong University and this mutually beneficial collaboration has been already existing for more then five years.

The specialties which will be studied by our students belong to the block of economic sciences (these are Financial Management, Quality Audit, Fundamentals of Experiment Theory, Enterprise Economics and other disciplines).

Some part of the disciplines will be studied at Shandong University, the rest will be taught distantly. The participants of the program will have a unique opportunity to compare the effectiveness of Russian and Chinese methods of teaching in practice. The students can practice their business English and also start to study the Chinese language; they can see the unique Chinese culture with their own eyes. Particularly, the students will be offered a number of special courses such as calligraphy, origami and oriental martial arts.

The program of academic exchange does not mean only studies. During two-week holidays the students will be offered several tours around the country and they will have a chance to visit Chinese ultramodern megalopolises (by the way, a city of one million population in China is considered to be a small one). Also the students will visit millennial Buddhist temples and pagodas, have a walk across the Great Wall and see a lot of other wonders of the Celestial Empire.

In March, 2013 within the framework of academic exchange program the Chinese students will come here to study at Trade and Economic Faculty.
