SUSU students are winners of All-Russian Project Contest named after Boris Yeltsin

 

On 22 February in Moscow the summing up of II All-Russian Annual Contest of scientific works and social projects “Boris Yeltsin – New Russia – World” took place.

The event took place on the basis of International University in Moscow. Summing up of the contest results was held in the form of academic and research conference as Forum-dialogue among contestants concerning the present and the future of Russia.

In the contest South Ural State University was represented by the following projects: “Universal Map of South Ural State University”, “Students’ Tribune”, Consulting Center “TOP500”, “Accommodation for Students”, Union of Foreign Students, SUSU KVN League, SUSU Photo School, “SUSU Workout”.

The projects of SUSU KVN League, Consulting Center “TOP500” and “Accommodation for Students” were recognized as the best projects within their nominations. Every project gained its grant in the amount of 10 000 rubles.

SUSU KVN League (nomination “Civil Project and Free Initiative) is the biggest league of Chelyabinsk Region which has been already existing for more than 8 years. During all this time more than 5 000 people performed on the stage of SUSU Performance Hall, and more than 70 000 spectators saw various show programs.

Consulting Center “TOP500” (nomination “Intellectual, Social and Humanitarian Development”) is a unique project which forms the rating of the best students and postgraduates of SUSU, and then provides the partners with qualified specialists.

“Accommodation for Students” (nomination “Civil Project and Free Initiative”) is a social initiative, which has been created by the students and for the students. The main aim of the project is to make the search for accommodation much easier, and the organizers has successfully achieved it.

Traditionally, the event was carried out in the presence of the wife of the first Russian President, Naina I. Yeltsina. The students presented her a unique book “Gold Pages of SUSU”, which would be placed in the Museum of the First President in Yekaterinburg.

There were 25 nominations, and not only text works but also social innovations, thus realized academic and research projects of various directions, managed to take part in that contest.
