The Delegation of foreign students from South Ural State University participated in the VII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations: the path to the east." The forum took place from the 17th to 21st of April in Yekaterinburg in Ural State Economic University. In the framework of the forum a coordination meeting of the branches of the Association of Foreign Students in Russia "ASF – the Bridge to Russia" was held, during which the new chairman of the Association of Foreign Students in Chelyabinsk Akbar Bakhramov delivered a report. He outlined the main priorities and objectives of the Chelyabinsk branch of the Association, among them - the solution to the problems of education and accommodation for foreign students in Chelyabinsk.
During the coordination meeting, the foreign students of SUSU asked the president of the Association of Foreign Students in Russian Adu Yao Nikez and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Benin in the Russian Federation Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa some questions. The questions were mainly related to the specificity of adaptation of foreign students in Russia.
During the forum, the participants from SUSU defended the honor of the University taking part in the Mini-Football Cup of the Association of Foreign Students, which was organized in support of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. Mini-football matches were held between the teams composed of foreign students who study in Russian universities.
At the present time, the team of foreign students of SUSU led by the coordinator Ekaterina Balueva is in the People's Friendship University of Russia at the VI All-Russian Congress of the Association of Foreign Students in Russia. During the congress the representatives of regional associations of foreign students from 118 universities will discuss the problems of education and adaptation of foreign students in Russian universities.
