SUSU Will Train Specialists for Roskosmos

South Ural State University took part in VUZPROMEXPO 2016, an annual national multi-industry exhibition and forum. The event is held with support from the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Education and Science and is dedicated to demonstrating the best practices in implementing innovative developments in domestic manufacturing.

Beyond leading Russian institutions, representatives of governmental corporations, industrial ministries and administrations, and leading manufacturers participate actively in the exhibition and forum. Organizations and networks which are instruments of the Russian Federation’s innovation policy also took part.

South Ural State University presented the most significant developments in energy, rocket building, machine building, metallurgy, and composite materials.

Participation in VUZPROMEXPO helps find application for your developments, demonstrate their commercial potential, and make yourself known on the federal level. South Ural State University’s booth attracted the interest of many forum participants, and the university is considering the prospects for developing further partnership with them. Among these participants were research colleagues and potential investors.

However, the most important event for SUSU was the signing of a partnership agreement with the state corporation Roskosmos. This document solidifies the existing business relationship by increasing the university’s scientific and technological presence in the corporation’s businesses. This also means that Roscosmos will be able to more actively use SUSU’s developments for creating new technologies and, of course, opportunities for our university to train qualified workers for the state corporation. Alla Vuchkovich, executive director of personnel and social policies for the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities, noted that partnership between the two sides has existed more than a year, and both parties have been working hard towards this event.
