Chelyabinsk Student Presents an ECG T-shirt Alongside SUSU

 

Aleskandr Pasynkov, studying at Chelyabinsk lyceum 97, presented his project with the Center of Sport Science at the SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism, and Service at the Russian forum for scientific youth, Step Into the Future.

This project, which participated in the final, was presented by Aleksandr Pasynkov in the section Biomedical Technologies. His innovative invention – the ECG T-shirt – is equipped with special electrodes which allow for the detection of bioelectrical impulses in the human body, which are used to carry out electrocardiograms. By the author’s deign, the information is sent in real-time to the smartphone, evaluated, and analyzed. In case of deviation from the norm, the patient receives the appropriate recommendation – seek consultation from a cardiologist.

“It’s very important that the Step Into the Future project is not just concerned with scientific and educational activities, it helps young people grow into serious professionals,” says ISTaS staff member, scientific consultant of the Center of Sports Science, Aleksey Smirnov.

The authors of this technology promise that in the near future the ECG T-shirt will be sent to manufacturing.
