200 Thousand to Uncover Scientific Potential: Best Post-Graduate Projects to be Financed

 

On April 25th at South Ural State University the contest “Scientific Potential – 2017” will begin. The contest is aimed at offering financial assistance to post-graduate students to help them complete their scientific projects and increase the publication activity of the University’s young researchers. Upon completion of their projects, the post-graduates must publish articles in the world’s leading journals.

Applications are being accepted in the following areas of scientific knowledge:

  • Engineering;
  • Social and Humanitarian, Economic, and Human Sciences;
  • Big data. Database mining;
  • Natural and Exact Sciences.

The contest organizers are waiting for applications from young and ambitious SUSU post-graduates studying full-time. They must have no less than one publication in the topic of their project in peer-reviewed Russian and International scientific journals, indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection or Scopus database, or no less than three publications in peer-reviewed journals recommended by the HAC, published from 2012 until the time of application.

All applications will be evaluated. Authors of projects currently being completed with support of funds from state (municipal) assignment may not participate in the contest. The funds for financing one project total 200,000 rubles.

Applications accepted from April 25th to May 25th, 2017;

The evaluation team will work from May 26th to June 30th, 2017;

Contest results will be posted after July 1st, 2017.

* The contest is held within SUSU’s realization of the 5-100 Russian Academic Excellence Project. The event is held per point M.3.2.1 Support young staff and students with grants for scientific projects, including by holding internships in leading research organizations and universities.
