SUSU Participates in Exchange Program with Freiberg Mining Academy

Once again, SUSU participates in an exchange program with Freiberg Mining Academy. Within the framework of a summer language school students from Chelyabinsk go to Germany, and German students come to SUSU.

This September students from Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany) have come to Chelyabinsk. For three weeks the students have been studying Russian and getting to know Russian culture. Besides the university studies, the program included trips and excursions, for instance visiting Taganay National Park, “Porogi” Nature & History Complex, museums, a trip to Yekaterinburg, a cooking master-class, horse riding, skating and much more.

Summer school is a great opportunity to study a language in the country where people actually speak it, to immerse into everyday life of a different country and practice your foreign language. It is an unusual experience which stimulates you to further study your foreign language.

Every year, the SUSU’s Institute of Linguistics and International Communication invites those willing to participate in the program of studying German in Freiberg. Summer school in Freiberg, like the one in Chelyabinsk, comprises classes with a German language tutor and a cultural program with sightseeing, trips to neighbouring cities in Germany and Czech Republic, as well as excursions to the mountains of the Saxon Switzerland.

To learn more about the program and to sign for the next year, please come to Room 161 of the SUSU’s Main Building.
