SUSU Researchers Join the Board of the Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia

 

SUSU researchers participated in the Organizational Conference on Creation of the Inter-regional Social Organization “Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia” (FES Russia) at Ural State University of Economics in Yekaterinburg on November 29th.

The Vice President, Director of FES Russia Margarita Ratnikova took part in the organizational conference. Rector of USUE Yakov Silin was elected President for FES Russia for 2017-2022.

The vice presidents of the Ural Branch of FES Russia for 2017-2022 are:

  1. Andrey Besedin, President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  2. Alexander Semin, RAS academic, Director of the Institute of World Economics, Head of the Department of Strategic and Manufacturing Management of the Ural State Mining University, Professor of the Department of Foreign Economic Affairs at USUE, Doctor of Sciences (Economics);
  3. Andrey Shmidt, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at South Ural State University (National Research University), Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor.

Irina Savelyeva, Director of the SUSU School of Economics and Management was invited to the Presidium of the Ural Branch of FES Russia.

The Board of the Inter-regional Social Organization “Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia” also includes the following SUSU researchers:

  • Yulia Babanova, SEM Deputy Director for Strategic Development;

  • Irina Danilova, SEM Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs;

  • Valentina Sergeevna Antonyuk, Head of the Department of Economic Theory, Regional Economics, State and Municipal Management; and

  • Alena Levina, Head of the Department of Logistics and Economics of Commerce.

Tatyana Khudyakova, Head of the Department of Economics and Management in the Service Industry, Recreation and Tourism;

Alexander Rezepin, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, Regional Economics, State and Municipal Management was elected member of the organization’s Auditing Committee.

Plans for the Ural Branch of FES include:

  • Organizing international conferences;

  • Joint publications by the Ural researchers;

  • Participation in economic projects at the regional and federal levels;

  • Development of the science of economics; and

  •  Facilitating the development of the real sector economy.
