In November 11, 2017 and December 2, 2017, staff of South Ural State University took IELTS international exam.
Preparation for the exam was carried out in the context of project “2.1.1 Introducing the Best Practices of Language Training for the Project 5-100 Universities” under the Lingva additional language training program, the final goal of which is improving academic and professional mobility of teachers, postgraduates, and the leading researchers of the university. The program involves gradual mastery of the English language on 6 levels in an interactive form of classroom education (level A2-C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.)
“The obtained results allow us to say that they fared well with this difficult test, and the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages (Anastasiya Podolko, Tatyana Peredrienko), the Department of Linguistics and Translation (Elizaveta Kravtsova), Department of International Relations and Regional Studies (Yuliya Polyakova), who worked on preparing staff members, proved their high professionalism in teaching foreign languages,” noted Kseniya Volchenkova, supervisor of the program.
17 people earned IELTS score of 6.5 points, 2 people – 7.0, 6 people – 7.5, 2 people – 8.0, and 1 person – 8.5.
