Listen to SUSU Radio on the City Streets

The university studio of Radio SUSU participated in a social project of the StreetRadio broadcasting network, which can be heard on Chelyabinsk’s streets and covers practically the whole city.

“We are already used to hearing unobtrusive music and helpful information in city parks, pedestrian areas, and shopping centers. We are trying to make it so that the information which city residents hear is not just helpful, but also interesting,” says the producer of the company StreetRadio, Andrey Volosnikov“So, the broadcasting program now includes sections on topics that we create with the SUSU Faculty of Journalism. First-year students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications are actively involved in this process: Evgeniya Gofman is responsible for the “Astrological Forecast”, Darya Zolina tells listeners about “Thoughts of Great People”, Maria Klokova talks about “Hi-tech News”, and Arina Halipova (with support from the Department of Culture at the Administration of Chelyabinsk) presents “Theatrical Events”.

The girls don’t just prepare materials for their sections, they also act as the newsreaders and DJs. Programs are recorded at the StreetRadio’s studio.
