International students of SUSU visited thermal springs

On January 24, international students of SUSU visited thermal springs. International Affairs Division together with Association of International Students organized the event on the occasion of an ancient Russian tradition – the Epiphany bathing.

Students from China, Iraq and Kazakhstan took part in the event.

“Although it was very cold outside, 30 below zero, we were very excited to go on the excursion. Landscape there was amazing, all trees were covered with snow, and the water was very warm. There were also several small pools, I bravely jumped into their cold water. We were bathing in thermal springs for over an hour and then we went to a steam room. I like Russian winter!” shared her impressions student from China, Zhang Simeng.

“Thermal springs are a unique opportunity to bath under the open sky all year round, despite winter cold. I think it is an interesting experience for all international students,” noted specialist for working with international students, Valeria Chachina.
