The trip was organized under support of the Center for Sociocultural Adaptation within the Katalitsa project. Head of the Center for Sociocultural AdaptationDina Valeeva, shared details of the sport event.

“For some international students, it was the first time they saw so much snow, let alone skiing! All students loved such active leisure time. When we were going back home, students were already asking when will the next trip be.”

For many international students, it was the first time they tried skiing or snowboarding. Master’s degree student of SUSU’s Polytechnic InstituteMezaal Najee Abdullah, shared his emotions.

“To me, it was a very interesting trip because I tried skiing for the first time. I didn’t expect it to be so interesting. Yes, it was very hard to understand how to ski, but after 2 hours I figured it out. I am very grateful for such opportunity, it was very interesting. And if there is an opportunity to go there once again, I am definitely going!”

The main goal of the Center for Sociocultural Adaptation is to create comfortable staying conditions for students both at the University, and in dormitories. The Center develops bilingual environment at SUSU: teaches English to the employees of dormitories, libraries and the Human Resources Department.
