Student of SUSU EECS Won I am the Professional All-Russian Olympiad

On March 14 of 2018, an award ceremony of medal winners of the first professional Olympiad of students entitled “I am the Professional”, which is a part of the project platform entitled “Russia is the country of possibilities”, was held on the venue of the Russia is the Country of Possibilities Forum at the VDNH.

The first Olympiad entitled “I am the Professional” was held on September 7 of 2017. 295 thousands of applications for participation were sent from students of 828 universities. 50 thousand students were chosen during a selective online round, 10 thousand of them got the right to participate in on-campus competition rounds on the grounds of the leading universities in 40 cities of Russia.

4 824 students competed in the Olympiad’s final (2950 bachelors and 1874 masters) from 431 universities and 78 constituents of the Russian Federation. Names of the winners and medal holders were announced on February 27 of 2018. Olympiad’s certificates in 27 areas were awarded to 2030 students; among them, 248 students received gold, silver and bronze medals.

The winner in the area of Computer Sciences is a student of SUSU’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer ScienceIvan Lyzhin.

As a reward Ivan will receive cash bonus, certificate for admission to postgraduate studies to the country’s leading universities, internship in a large Russian company, and inclusion in a closed national base of young professionals, access to which have recruiters of the largest Russian companies.
