SUSU Invites to a Hackathon on Developing the Arctic Region

The SUSU Department for Research and Innovations invites all to participate in a hackathon to determine promising innovations and formalize directions of development for businesses creating facilities in the Arctic Region. The forum will be held in Yekaterinburg June 4th through 6th.

The event is organized as part of a mutually beneficial partnership between companies, higher education institutions, scientific societies, and executive authorities in the Ural Federal District on creation of products and technical solutions for the exploration of the Arctic Region.

The hackathon’s unique format makes it possible to bring together participations of various professions with different levels of knowledge and skills and give them a chance to get to know this new subject field under the guidance of specialists from big companies (Gazprom, Russian Railways, Rosatom, Rostech).

The hackathon allows to start working in the context of a weakly-formalized task, having formed on its basis one or several statements for further research prototyping as part of a series of R&D projects.

The best ideas will be recommended to big companies for further elaboration jointly with the teams.

Applications will be accepted from teams of 3, with members aged 35 or younger (students, postgraduates, or staff of SUSU).

Team registration and additional information at hrobocon.ru.

10 days before the event, sample tasks of the hackathon will be posted on this same web-site.
