SUSU Archaeologists Found a Well-preserved Buckle Dating Back to the 10th Century

In Kunashaksky District an ancient burial ground was found by the specialists which contained a gold plated buckle, horse legs bones, bridle, and stirrup.

On the shore of lake Uelgi in the Chelyabinsk Region, while performing excavations, archaeologists came across a burial of some interest. According to Doctor of Sciences (History), Professor of SUSU Sergey Botalov, who supervised the works, the find is very important. It proves that namely in this place the future nations were born. Among those, professor believes, were Tatars, Kazakhs, etc.

In this context the archaeologist is confident that the excavated ancient objects dating back to the 10th century may be considered key historical attributes, which allow to look through the ages and determine most interesting facts for certain. The dig supervisor is sure that this find proves: namely this place became the starting point for the Bashkirs and Hungarians.

It is reported that this is by no means the first season of excavations near lake Uelgi. More than that, specialists state that this year already is the 10th anniversary of this territory’s studying. And every year archaeologists keep finding new ancient artefacts, which unveil the secrets of time and give answers to some of the questions.
