SUSU Joins an Ecological Project

SUSU Institute of Open and Distance Education in collaboration with the Tsellyuloza (Cellulose) project have installed an eco-container on the territory of our university for collecting waste paper. Now all the staff members or students who care about environment can bring and pile in it waste paper, magazines or newspapers for recycling.

The Tsellyuloza project aims at helping the citizens become more ecologically responsible, and helping them understand that rational use of natural resources facilitates in preserving and maintaining the environment.

For each 100 kg of the collected paper, the enthusiasts of the Tsellyuloza project will plant one tree to help improve the ecological situation in our city. It is planned to plant these trees in spring.

The container is located in the hall of the production-and-laboratory building (76а V.I. Lenin Prospect – facing SIGMA education and recreation building). You can bring your waste paper as well:

  • books;
  • newspapers;
  • white paper (without staples or wire-bounds);
  • brochures;
  • magazines.
