The Team of Deep Vision Dance Theatre Brilliantly Performed at KONTUR All-Russian Choreography Festival

This is not the first time that students of SUSU achieve high results at Kontur All-Russian Festival and Contest. This year, the team of Deep Vision Dance Theatre once again took prize-winning places and allowed the jury and spectators to admire their skills.

KONTUR All-Russian Choreography Festival and Contest was held in Yekaterinburg on March 28 through 31. The Festival brought together more than 4100 contestants from Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Kostroma, Perm, Tyumen and other cities of Russia. Professional jury has watched about 670 contest numbers performed by dancers aged 6 to 18 and older. The best performances were presented at a gala concert.

At this event, our university was represented by the tem of Deep Vision Dance Theatre. Multiple numbers have been performed by the SUSU team at the Festival and Contest, and many of them became prize-winning.

  • First-class awardees: Ekaterina Galanova with a performance called “Moments”; Olga Belyankina and her performances entitled “The Limit of Functionality” and “The Rose of Winds”.
  • Second-class awardees: the duo of Danil Mardanov and Ekaterina Bazhenova.
  • Third-class awardees: the team Juniors with their performance entitled “A House on a Hill”; the group Teens with their performance called “Magnitude”; students’ team performing “Blackberry Nights” and “The Depth of the Hour”.

It should be noted that our dancers were also awarded a special prize for high level of training.

“Deep Vision team made a good impression on all members of the jury. When talking personally with professionals who assessed the contestants, they said that our dancers were memorable due to their well-expressed style, interesting performances, and a conscious approach to work. This allowed us to stand out of the general dance mass. I’d like to say that such contests is a chance to share one’s creativity with other people, to watch what other teams are doing and to get inspired by various dance teams. Being able to show one’s skills and learn something new is always nice,” said choreographer and director Ekaterina Galanova.

The contest stage at Yekaterinburg has completed successfully. Ahead of SUSU students are new challenges and competitions. Presently, dancers work hard to get ready for the Student Spring-2019 Festival. Let us wish them not to stop at the accomplished and keep moving forward.
