About

As people worldwide are living longer and the world’s older population continues to grow, we see more people suffering from musculoskeletal disorders that require surgical treatment. Only well-timed post-surgery rehabilitation enables to speed the recovery after an operation and is an essential step in time-consuming treatment process.

This research project aims to design and develop a mechanic rehabilitation device for patients with leg injuries that can function automatically during the whole recovery process.

To recover after lower limb arthroplasty, it is vital to practice a range of active and passive exercises that strengthen hip, knee, and ankle joints. Vitalii and Aleksei developed a unique device that can be programmed to assist the movements of the lower limb in all directions, along with the software and a user manual.
