Seminar on measurement and analysis of dynamic characteristics of elements of different mechanical engineering branches

On April 3-4 South Ural State University together with Novatest company will hold a seminar and demonstration of equipment for noncontact measurement and analysis of vibration characteristics of railway, automobile and aerospace systems elements.
The topic of the seminar is "Application of Polytec laser vibrometers for noncontact analysis of dynamic characteristics of elements of different mechanical engineering spheres at the stages of designing, development, qualification and certification testing".

April 3 (Wednesday)
10.00 – 11.30 – Seminar
11.30 – 11.45 – Break
11.45 – 13.00 – Seminar
14.00 – 17.00 – Practical demonstration of equipment

Seminar program includes:
1. General information concerning noncontact measurement of vibrations by means of laser Doppler vibrometers (LDV).
2. Polytec (German company) laser scanning vibrometers: system components, operation principles, possibilities and limitations.
3. Usage of laser scanning vibrometers for making solutions in development, analysis and alignment of transport means and flying machines design models (experimental model analysis).
4. Usage of laser scanning vibrometers for noise decrease inside the cabin of transport means.
5. Methods of noise sources identification by means of laser scanning vibrometers.
6. Usage of laser scanning vibrometers for visualization of energy power flow from vibration to noise sources.
7. LDV measurement of vibration frequency of Test Data Generator blades and blisks, visualization of vibration forms, calculation of deformation fields and voltage. Application of measurement results for analysis and alignment of design models.
8. Interesting examples of laser vibrometers application in the perspective spheres of science and technology.

April 4 (Thursday)
