Associate Professor of the Faculty of Law Has Presented SUSU on the International Conference in Moscow

Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Proceedings of SUSU Tikhon Podshivalov took part in the international scientific and practical conference ‘Private International Law in the Globalized World’ (Moscow). He presented a report on the topic ‘Evasion of Law in Civil Relations Complicated by a Foreign Element’.

The event was organized by the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation. The conference was dedicated to the 90th birthday of the classical scholar of the Russian civil law, Professor Oleg Sadikov. The conference was attended by leading scientists, representatives of the scientific community, as well as practicing lawyers, arbitrators of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, and foreign scientists.

The conference covered a wide range of issues:

·         research trends of unification and self-regulation of international private relations;

·         reform of the Civil Code of Russian Federation;

·         changes in foreign legislation on private international law;

·         legal regulation of individual institutions of private international law relating to the status of legal entities, proprietary relations, and competitive relations in the conditions of globalization of world economic ties.

‘Such conferences allow us not only to catch the latest trends of international legal thought and hear the views of colleagues, but also to share experiences’, - commented on the results of the scientific forum Tikhon Podshivalov.

After the conference the representative of South Ural State University was offered to publish the report on the pages of the reputed magazine ‘Economics and Law’.
