SUSU's team is preparing to defend “Road Map”

 

Representatives of the SUSU Managing Committee for the 5-100 program, chaired by rector Aleksandr Shestakov, is actively preparing to defend the program for increased competetiveness of South Ural University (“Road Map”) for 2016-2020.

Today in Moscow, university program presentations are being analyzed, wording and details of the presentation are being clarified, and strategic prospects for future scientific and industrial cooperation with international experts are being discussed.

Rector Aleksandr Shestakov is taking part in this meeting along with: Andrey Keller, provost for strategic development; Gleb Radchenko, dean of the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Computer Science; and Slavomir Sukhomski, vice president of Emerson Process Management for Europe. Discussion is being held in English.

 

The “Road Map”, was a university-wide effort for the past several months. Within the next 5 years, this will become the main document that SUSU builds its scientific and academic work on.

The program defense is already taking place tomorrow, March 18th. The SUSU team is joined by Jack Dongara, professor of computer science from the University of Tennesee, and specialists from consulting group Price Waterhouse Cooper.
