Onwards to Discoveries! Contest for the Financial Support of Student Projects Begins at SUSU

Are you studying at university for yet another year, and understand that you need something more than just academics? Do you feel that you have potential? Are you full of ideas and ready to develop your project or research area? Do you want to share your discoveries with the whole world and advance your ideas in your area of science, but so far only a lack of funds is stopping you?

Today, this is no longer a problem!

Talented and ambitious newcomers in science will be helped by the university, who has the chance to do so as part of the realization of the 5-100 Project. If you are a SUSU bachelors’ student, masters’ student, or specialists, studying full-time and in a state-funded basis, you have only “good” and “excellent” marks in your grade book, and you have no academic debts – then this contest is for you!

What is needed from you?

From September 4th through October 6th you need to submit an application for the contest in one of four key areas of development for SUSU:

  • Engineering;

  • Human sciences and socio-humanitarian sciences;

  • Big data, data mining;

  • Natural sciences and STEM.

The application must be submitted in two forms:

  • Electronically, on the contest site (http://www.pmn.susu.ru/);

  • And in paper form – a packet of documents, in room 15 1 of the main university building.

Besides the application we require:

  • A research project passport, which lists the goals and tasks of the project, the relevance of the issue, novelty, practical meaning, the author’s scientific background in this topic, the possibilities for commercialization and (required!) a plan for realizing this project.

  • Copies of the applicants’ research projects (publications, patents, certificates), a list of them verified by the head of the structural subdivision in which the contest participants study.

The application form, a template for the project passport, and other conditions for participating in the project, as well as the main requirements for the report materials of the project can be seen on the site Support for Young Science.

  • Applications accepted for the competition – from September 4th to October 6th, 2017.

  • Expert commission – from October 9th through 20th, 2017.

  • Notification of contest results – October 24th, 2017.

Each contest winner will be able to receive 50,000 rubles for the realization of their project!

All questions on participating in the contest can be sent to the organizers:
