Swimming competition took place at the SUSU Sports School

 

On October 18, swimming competition took place at the Unica Sports School of South Ural State University.

The event is held annually, and this year it is the 10-years anniversary. According to the event’s organizer Marina Balakhonova, it brought us many young swimmers who entered the junior group.

More than 100 trainees took part in the swim. The competition was held in short distances, where both boys and girls of five age categories competed on the lanes of 50 and 100 meters.

Winners and prizing place holders were awarded with medals and certificates. Eva Shelgorn became one of the winners. The participant was training for this win since her first lesson in the swimming pool.

“My mother brought me to a swimming pool 3 years ago. Since then I have been gladly practicing swimming, and I feel like a fish in water,” says Eva Shelgorn, winner of the girls’ junior group.
