Laboratory of Composite Materials to Open at SUSU

The Laboratory of Composite Materials will open at South Ural State University on December 29th at 12:00.

The Laboratory of Composite Materials was organized and operating at South Ural State University since 2012. It appeared as a result of the reorganization of the “Composite Materials and Constructions” Research and Education Center. Now, the laboratory is part of Research and Development Institute “Mechanical Engineering” and its research has both theoretical and practical importance.

The main fields of research being completed daily by the laboratory workers include creation of a wide range of high-quality and high-tech prototypes for mechanical engineering companies and experimental research on composite materials and constructions with various mechanical loads.

Fields of work:

  1. Study of physical, mechanical, and rheological characteristics of the components of composite materials

  2. Creation of new types of composite materials

  3. Study and development of the processes of manufacturing products from composite materials

  4. Completing R&D on the development of constructions and technologies for creating products from composite materials

  5. Training under continuing education programs on design and technologies for manufacturing composite materials

South Ural State University Rector Alexander Shestakov and Director of the “Mechanical Engineering” Research and Education Center Ramil Zakirov will participate in the opening ceremony.

Date of event: December 29th

Location: Room 100, 85 Lenin Prospect.
