From the 12th till the 18th of March, a week dedicated to the Polytechnic Institute is to be held at South Ural State University; within the week, students and teachers will take part in theme-related events targeted at formation of corporate culture of SUSU Polytechnic Institute’s students and staff.
Events of the Week of Polytechnic Institute
On March 13, deans will have meetings with group activists
“The Faculty yesterday, today, tomorrow” is the main theme of the meetings. Deans will answer questions about strategic directions of the faculties’ development in the sphere of research activity, talk about activities for enhancement of graduates’ competitiveness, and explain the role of elite education of students in this process.
March 14 is the Day of Student Science of the Polytechnic Institute
The Day of Student Science of the Polytechnic Institute is a contest which will be held at each faculty. Within this contest, postgraduates and master’s degree students of the departments and faculties will present results of their research activity. Audience of this event will include students of the 2nd – 4th years of study, who have a potential for self-fulfillment in the sphere of science and creativity. The jury of the contest will assess presenters by the following criteria (on a 10-point scale):

Justification of relevance;

Scientific novelty;

Practical relevance;

Theoretical relevance;

Presentability.
The winner from each Faculty will proceed to the second round and will represent the Institute at the university’s Days of Student Science (March 28 at 15:30 at Sigma academic building).
