The 3rd All-Russian Student Accounting Olympiad in honour of Ya.V. Sokolov, in which students of the SUSU School of Economics and Management took part, was held at Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics.
Among the Olympiad’s participants were also Bachelor’s and Master’s students from Saint-Petersburg, Voronezh, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, and other cities of Russia.
The event’s organizers included the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia, and major auditing firms, such as PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY.
The team of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit of the School of Economics and Management comprising students of group 430 — Olga Nikitina, Yulia Lobanova, Anna Melekhina, guided by senior lecturer Ekaterina Shmidt, took the 3rd prize among 30 teams from 27 educational institutions of the Russian Federation. The total number of participants amounted to 103 people. Moreover, the team of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit took the 3rd prize in the team competition.
Thus, the SUSU students repeated their last year’s result: in 2017 the Department’s team also took the 3rd prize at the 2nd All-Russian Student Accounting Olympiad in honour of Ya.V. Sokolov.
