October 30th through November 3rd the Youth Forum on Internationalization of Education – Best Practices of International Academic Mobility (supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs grant) and the Programme of Advanced Training on Internationalization of Education – Organisation of Academic Mobility and Export of Educational Services were held at North-Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol) as part of the 2nd European Education Week.

Among the forum’s participants was the Head of the International Research Collaboration at the International Office Tatiana Subbotina.

The event welcomed over 500 participants from 34 universities of nine countries from around the world: Russia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Moldova, and Greece. The representatives of University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), European Centre for Peace and Development United Nations University (Serbia), Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin) (Germany), Ural Federal University, and North-Caucasus Federal University shared their experience in internationalization of higher education. Within the frameworks of the forum master classes were organised by the NCFU’s Welcome Centre.

A series of seminars were organised at the forum which touched upon the issues on organising the export of educational services, training international students, and analysing the practices of organisation of international academic mobility at the leading Russian and foreign universities. As part of this forum an information session by the National Office of Erasmus+ in Russia was held, as well as a seminar on the possibilities of collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and on the promising fields of activity for CampusFrance in Russia.

We may be positive about the fact that the meetings and discussions held between the Russian specialists and their foreign colleagues will allow to open new promising fields in the internationalization of higher education, and develop the already established contacts, thus improving the quality of teaching and research work.
