South Ural State University is a university with an interesting history and varied traditions. It is a multidisciplinary academic institution which is famous for its scientific achievements, high level of education for specialists, fundamental scientific base, and material and technical support for scientific research and the academic process.
The history of the university is a series of successive stages of formation and dynamic development. From an institute consisting of two faculties, it turned in to a national research university – a centre of research and education in Russia. Today, SUSU is a space for innovative developments, a launch pad for modern youth, for a generation of ambitious and self-confident people and their brave ideas and projects.
The history of the Automobile and Tractor Faculty is an inseparable part of the history of the university. Established in the hard years of World War II, the faculty grew and developed, becoming a forge for workers in engineering.
The anniversary of the Automobile and Tractor Faculty is a great reason to remember its glorious history which continues today with the new generation of students and faculty.

The anniversary of the Automobile and Tractor Faculty will be celebrated December 18th 2018.
Anniversary program:
- 12.00 – registration and meetings with graduates in departments;
- 13.00 – opening of the gallery of AT Faculty graduates (3rd floor, building 2);
- 14.00 – automobile flashmob on the square in front of SUSU;
- 15.00 – celebratory concert (conference hall, 2nd floor, main building).
