The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation announced the beginning of the seventh contest for obtaining “mega-grants” for research activities in 2019 – 2021.
The main goals of research carried out under supervision of leading scientists are the following:
- establishment of world-class research laboratories;
- obtainment of breakthrough research results and solution of specific problems in the frameworks of directions specified in the Strategy of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation;
- training of highly-qualified cadre who are capable of taking part in solution of such problems.
The maximal amount of the grant sum for the entire period of project implementation is up to 90 million rubles: it’s up to 33 million rubles for 2019, up to 33 million rubles for 2020, and up to 24 million rubles for 2021.
Deadline for submission of applications to the Research and Innovation Services office is July 26 of 2019.
