Two Students from Tajikistan Enrolled in Postgraduate Studies at SUSU

This year, two staff members of Tajik Technical University enrolled in state-funded postgraduate studies at South Ural State University. They will complete training in the Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

South Ural State University and Tajik Technical University named after academic M. Osimi have become reliable partners in international affairs. Head of the International Student Support Ekaterina Yurovskaya spoke about the cooperation between the two major universities.

“We have established long-term and warm relationships with Tajik Technical University. Rector of SUSU Aleksandr Shestakov and Rector of TTU Haidar Odinazoda invite one another to important events. TTU sees us as a reliable research partner, so they send their postgraduate students to SUSU for training of highly-qualified staff who are in demand in the Republic of Tajikistan. The fact that our partnership is strengthened by the training of postgraduate students from Tajik Technical University shows one more time that our work together is moving in the right direction.”

Postgraduate student Kamoliddin Mukhiddinov worked at Tajik Technical University in the Department of Machine Parts and Road-Building Machines. When he had the chance to enrol in the SUSU postgraduate programme, he immediately found a similar field in the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

“I got my Bachelor’s degree at Tajik Technical University, and my Master’s at another big university in Russia. I came to South Ural State University for postgraduate studies and enrolled in the Institute of Engineering and Technology in the Wheeled and Tracked Vehicles Department. My professor at TTU studied at SUSU for about three years. When he found out about my trip, he said that for me to become a good specialist, I should choose SUSU for my studies.”

Student Abubakr Sharifov also came from Tajikistan to study at SUSU. He dreams of being a first-class engineer, because this profession is highly valued in Tajikistan.

“I graduated from the Belarusian National Technical University and obtained my Specialist degree. After graduation, I worked for about a year at Tajikistan Technical University and looked for opportunities to study. After searching for some time, I understood that SUSU was the university which could become a step up in my career. Everyone dreams of a good future, so I chose to study in the Building Structures and Constructions programme of the Institute of Architecture and Construction.”

The postgraduate students noted that they were impressed by Chelyabinsk, and they really liked the residents of our city. Now, the young men will complete four years of study at South Ural State University, which they are very happy about.
