SUSU Students Became Conductors on the Train of Friendship

The Train of Friendship has arrived to its destination. The week-long journey with a special crew of conductors started in Chelyabinsk and finished in Adler. Conductors were recruits of Russian Student Unions from the Ural Federal District and the Volga Federal District. SUSU was represented by students Aleksey Tavluy and Daria Markushina.

The train of Friendship is an annual event held by Russian Student Unions together with the Ural branch of Federal Passenger Company JSC over the last 4 years. This year, the event has been supported by Rosmolodezh Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

This is a train with a special programme for its passengers. Its crew is formed out of active representatives of conductor crews from all around the South Ural; they provide high-level service throughout the whole journey and perform a special mission of arranging themed radio shows, games, contests and other entertaining activities while on the road.

Aleksey Tavluy took part in the event for the first time and shared his emotions:

“This was the most memorable trip of all that I’ve ever taken. The train in which people become friends and communicate; a journey with adventures, breakdowns, exhaustion but simultaneously a trip with never-ending fun, dancing and inexplicable atmosphere of a true train of friendship. We created the atmosphere in which everyone was in a good mood and left with positive emotions.”

Within 6 days, SUSU students not only provided high-quality service but also held themed radio shows, games and contests for passengers. Songfests and flash mobs had been arranged at large train stations.

As a reminder, the Train of Friendship is an annual event held by All-Russian Public Youth Organization called Russian Student Unions together with the Ural branch of Federal Passenger Company JSC over the last 4 years. This year, the event in Chelyabinsk was held under support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs at the expense of a grant obtained at the UTRO  (MORNING) Youth Forum.
