Samsung IoT Academy Once Again is to Open Its Doors for SUSU Students

Starting from October of 2019, lessons at the Samsung IoT Academy will begin again in the SUSU School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.

Within the one-year course by the Internet of Things Academy, students will learn the key aspects of IoT technology, elaborate their own project, and gain the opportunity to compete with the best graduates of the programme in a country-wide project competition.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept for arrangement of interaction of physical objects (things), equipment, and systems among themselves and with the environment by using various network technologies and connection standards. Today, the term Internet of Things includes personal wearables, Smart Building systems, technologies of the Industrial Internet of Things, Smart City systems, and much more.

The deadline for applying to participate is September 25th, 2019.

Testing will be held September 23rd through 29th and the results will determine enrollment decisions.

During the testing, students will have their knowledge tested in the following areas:

  • Fundamentals of С/С++
  • Fundamentals of Linux
  • Programming practice

Everyone who is interested in participating is invited to an organizational meeting on September 18th at 13:00 in room 434/3B. At the meeting, organizers will present the programme of the course, and attendees can ask them any questions they might have.

Students of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and the School of Economics and Management are invited to attend the courses.
