Roundtable Discussion Entitled “Knowledge about Politics: How to Get and Where to Use” is to be Held at SUSU

On the 3rd of October 2019, a roundtable discussion entitled “Knowledge about Politics: How to Get and Where to Use” is to take place at South Ural State University under support of the Department of International Relations, Politology, and Regional Studies and the Council of Young Political Scientists of the Russian Political Science Association. The event is going to start at 1:35 p.m. by the address: classroom 168, 76 Lenin prospect, Chelyabinsk.

The purpose of the project is to show the variety of opinions and meanings of the “knowledge about politics” concept from the position of recipients or possessors of this knowledge. A number of important issues are planned to be brought up in the course of the roundtable discussion:

  1. Sources of getting and methods of processing the information that favors forming the knowledge about politics;
  2. A young political scientist in the professional community: problems and opportunities of getting/exchanging new knowledge;
  3. Professional outlooks of applying special knowledge about politics.

Students, master’s degree students, postgraduates, young researchers, political activists and everyone somehow connected to or interested in politics are welcome to participate. At the roundtable discussion, one will be able to not just learn about the modern tendencies of the global and regional political development, but also get a chance to express one’s own opinion on the most important matters that excite political scientists.

Upon results of the roundtable discussion, participants will get certificates and handouts from the RPSA’s Council of Young Political Scientists. Reports of the speakers will be published in an edition included in the RSCI citation system.
