SUSU Projects Won 3 Medals at Agricultural Exhibition “Golden Autumn 2019”

South Ural State University presented its scientific projects at the Russian Agricultural Exhibition “Golden Autumn 2019”. The university’s developments in the field of processing and storage of agricultural products were highly appreciated and awarded a silver and two bronze medals.

The Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology of the SUSU School of Medical Biology presented its developments in the “Innovative Developments in the Field of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products” nomination.

Under the supervision of Irina Potoroko, the Head of the Department, the research team presented three projects: “Innovative Method of Producing White Bread Enriched with Micronized Fucoidan”, “Innovative Method of Grain Processing in the Bakery Products Technology Using Electrophysical Effects”, “Innovative Method of Producing Biodegradable Composite Material Based on Plant Biopolymers."

“The Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology takes part in the competitive program at the Russian Agricultural Exhibition “Golden Autumn 2019” every year. Each of our developments was awarded medals and certificates. This year, “Innovative Method of Grain Processing in the Bakery Products Technology Using Electrophysical Effects” project was awarded a silver medal. Two other projects were awarded bronze medals. This event allows to bring our scientific developments to a new level and give them some practical focus. These big-scale victories at the exhibitions of all-Russian level is a proof of the SUSU scientific developments authority,” notes Natalia Naumenko, Candidate of Sciences and Associate Professor.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region awarded the staff of the SUSU Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology on October 18th.

Overall, the Chelyabinsk Region enterprises and organisations won 153 medals, 92 of which were gold medals, 46 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals. Not only high-quality food products of the South Ural agricultural complex, but also research, scientific-practical, and consulting projects in the field of agricultural complex were demonstrated.
