SUSU to Hold a Continuing Education Forum

A Continuing Education International Forum, organized by the SUSU Institute of Supplementary Education, will be held at South Ural State University on November 22nd.

The Continuing Education Forum will include two events:

  • Fifth Science-to-practice Conference “Universities of the 21st Century in the System of Continuing Education”, dedicated to a double anniversary: the 15th Anniversary of the SUSU Institute of Supplementary Education and the 40th Anniversary of Professor G.N. Serikov Scientific School; and
  • International Science-to-practice Conference “Continuing Education in Terms of Sustainable Development: New Challenges. Stage 2” held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (Hamburg); the Council of Rectors of the Ural Federal District, the Institute of Continuing Professional Education Development, Moscow; Saint Petersburg State University of Economics; T.N. Qori Niyoziy Uzbek Research Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, Tashkent; University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, České Budějovice; Hebei Institute of International Business and Economics, Qinhuangdao,China; the UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre of the Education University of Hong Kong are all among the organisations that support the Forum.

SUSU Rector Аleksandr Shestakov, President of the National Academy of Education Named After Y. Altynsarin Zhanbol Zhilbayev, and Director of the SUSU Institute of Supplementary Education Irina Voloshina will chair the Forum. Academic Advisor of the Institute of Supplementary Professional Education “School of Economics” of the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics Valentin Galenko, President of the Lifelong Learning for All Public Association of Saint Petersburg Nikolay Lobanov, and Deputy Director of the SUSU Institute of Supplementary Education Irina Kotlyarova will act as the academic advisors of the Forum.

The Forum agenda will include the following main issued to be discussed: “Intercultural Communication Skills for the International Labour Market”, “Correlation between Multilingual Education and Multicultural Upbringing”, “Continuous Training of Personnel for Our Country's Economy for the Sustainable Development of Regions”, and “Cutting Edge Technologies in Adult Education”.

The Forum proceedings will be published in collected papers, included in the Russian Science Citation Index.
