Russia through the Eyes of Students Photo Contest to Be Held at SUSU

South Ural State University announces the annual Russia through the Eyes of Students photo contest. This contest aims at promoting patriotic education, involving students into creative activities, and developing their interest in Russia. Both professional photographers and beginners aged under 30 are among the participants.

The photographs submitted to the contest should be depicting Russia and its regions. It is important that participants capture interesting and attractive aspects of international life, traveling and tourism.

The contest is held under seven categories:

  • Nature Has Its Own Charm… (photos of nature);
  • City Life… (photos of urban architecture);
  • We Remember, Feel Proud and Live on! (patriotic photos);
  • A World of Faces (portrait photos);
  • You Become Responsible for What You Have Tamed... (photos with animals);
  • It’s Easy to Be Kind… (photos of the volunteer activities);
  • My Student Years (photos of the university student life).

Participants can submit no more than five works to each category, this also concerns series of 5 photos (related to each other by the common plot or artistic idea). SUSU students are invited to participate in this contest. The works should be e-mailed to the SUSU Photo School’s address: 74foto74[at]mail[dot]ru. You should indicate your full name, group number, contacting information and the work title in your e-mail.

The contest consists of two stages:

Stage I – contest selection of the best works held January 20th through February 21st 2020.

Stage II – photo exhibition of the best works prepared February 24th through March 2nd 2020.

Authors of the best works will be awarded winner and prize-winner certificates, as well as souvenirs from the contest organizers and sponsors.

Works are accepted January 21st through February 21st 2020. For detailed information on the procedure and dates of the contest, please refer to the Provision.
