SUSU Students to Write Diplomatic Dictation

The Public Chamber of the Chelyabinsk Region invites to take part in the Diplomatic Dictation, which is to be held March 1st of 2020 at several venues in Chelyabinsk, with the support from the Committee for Education of the city of Chelyabinsk. The project partners are: South Ural Association of Volunteers, Youth Assembly of South Ural Peoples, Universal Scientific Library of the Chelyabinsk Region, “Russia Is My History” park, and schools of Chelyabinsk.

The aim of the Dictation is to draw attention of the citizens of Chelyabinsk and Chelyabinsk Region to the matters of international relations and the sphere of public diplomacy. The participants of the Dictation will be able to broaden and deepen their ideas on current international relations, Russia’s foreign policy, learn about the history and current activities of the SCO and BRICS, what is especially important on the verge of the SCO and BRICS summits, which are to be organized in Chelyabinsk in 2020.

The Dictation is to be held in 2 categories: school students (14-17 years old) and adults (aged 18 and older). In the 1st category, senior high school students (8th to 11th form) studying in general educational organizations and in secondary professional educational institutions can participate. In the 2nd category, anyone over 18 can check his/her level of knowledge in the field of diplomacy and international relations, as well as the degree of preparedness for the planned international events. The difficulty level of the tasks is determined by the age category.

The 2020 Diplomatic Dictation topic is “SCO and BRICS: the Past and the Present”. The participants will have to give answers on the given topic within the allotted time.

The prize-winners of the Diplomatic Dictation will be awarded certificates and prizes.
