SUSU International Students Celebrated Russia Day

The Russia Day is a great holiday. It is important for everyone in its own way. SUSU international students believe that Russia has become their second home, that is why June 12th is a special day for them.

The staff members and volunteers of the Sociocultural Adaptation Centre of the SUSU Institute of Linguistics and International Communications prepared various tasks for international students on their knowledge of the culture of our country. The students had to guess the names of ancient Russian household items from the pictures, make up the Russian flag by assembling the colours correctly, sing the Russian anthem, and describe what Russia means for them.

Suleiman Ramadan, student from Syria, said: “To me, Russia is a red colour, because red means strength and beauty!” Аnd Nitesh Shukla from India said that Russia is his second home.

Also, during the Russia Day, an online quiz on Russia was organized in the Vkontakte official group of the Sociocultural Adaptation Centre of the SUSU Institute of Linguistics and International Communications. Tree participants, who were the first to answer the questions, were awarded sweet prizes.
