Not Sure What to Major in? SUSU Believes, Future Belongs to Nanotechnologies

One of the most groundbreaking fields of the 21st century world science is studying of nanoparticles. Development of nanotechnologies allows to find best solutions for the most topical and problem sectors: medicine, electronics, optics, space exploration and many others. This is one of the priority tasks for the Institute of Natural Sciences of South Ural State University.

SUSU Professor First Russian Six-time Winner of Super-cyclist Title

Senior Professor at the SUSU Department of Electronic Computing Machines Sergey Syaskov became the first Russian athlete awarded the title of a super-cyclist for the sixth time within the period of two years. Moreover, he won over 80 medals in marathons held according to the rules of the French international cycling club ACP (Audax Club Parisien – “Parisian Club of the Audacious”), and was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Minister of Education and Science for the Chelyabinsk Region.

SUSU scientist researches properties of materials for space industry

Development of new highly efficient equipment in power engineering, metallurgy, space, military and some other branches of industry is connected with the problem of exploitation of materials on the edge of their capabilities. In other words, under conditions of increased temperature and significant plastic deformations. The Laboratory of Composite Materials was organized and operating at South Ural State University since 2012. It appeared as a result of the reorganization of the “Composite Materials and Constructions” Research and Education Center. Now, the laboratory is part of Research and Development Institute “Mechanical Engineering” and its research has both theoretical and practical importance.
