As part of Vladimir Putin’s visit to the enterprises of KONAR Industrial Group, a meeting with employees was held. SUSU student Ivan Baryshev, who was undergoing practical training at the company, also had the opportunity to talk to the first person of the state. In addition to his studies, Ivan works at Tankograd Youth Design Bureau, which is an important part of the Heart of the Urals Advanced Engineering School recently created at our university.

Personnel Advanced Training Program for Russia’s First Robot Plant Presented to Vladimir Putin

SUSU Students Lit the Flame of the Ski-track of Russia

SUSU students had the honour of participating in the Flame Lighting Ceremony at the opening of the Ski-track of Russia, a mass ski race event, in Chelyabinsk. The race was held at the stadium of Elena Elesina Track-and-field Complex last weekend.

At the excavations near the city of Magnitogorsk, SUSU archaeologists, in collaboration with the South Urals Foundation, discovered a unique-for-South Urals burial-mounds complex with an ancient tomb of a young woman. Keep Calm! Scientists Discovered a New Mechanism of Coping with Stress

A team of SUSU scientists, jointly with experts from the Ural Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences and immunologists from China (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), have presented a new understanding of the role of the JAK-STAT intracellular signalling system, which regulates such processes as the growth, development, division and destruction of cells in body, in case of stress disorders. Researchers have proposed to expand the range of means treating the signalling system and disorders caused by stress. 

Alexander Wagner Took Part in the Meeting of the Council on Higher Education and Science under the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region

Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Texler chaired the Council meeting. In the course of the meeting, the head of our region, leaders and scientists of universities summed up the results of the Year of Science and discussed the priority directions of development of our region’s scientific potential. The governor congratulated the representatives of the scientific community on their professional holiday and reported that the interest in research activity is growing across our whole country. SUSU Scientists Help Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant Increase the Russian Tanks’ Engine Capacity

ChTZ-URALTRAK (Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant) is part of the Russian defence industry complex, and it mainly produces dual-purpose diesel engines with the capacity of up to 1500 hp. The plant is currently solving an important problem on increasing the capacity of a series-production engine, while not making it heavier or leading to losses in its service life. Forcing of the engine inevitably entails increased loads on the main parts, components and units.

SUSU Legal Scientists Published a Textbook on Digital Forensics Certified by Academic Methodological Association

The famous Yurait federal publishing house has recently published a Digital Forensics textbook, the authors of which were scientists from the Institute of Law of South Ural State University.

This is already the second edition, revised and expanded (the first one was published in 2022). The textbook is certified by the Academic Methodological Association of Higher Education and can be used in any Russian university that trains specialists in this field.
