Working Visa

If you would like to work at South Ural State University and you are not a member of CIS countries, you must apply for a Russian Working Visa. The whole process of getting the visa and applying to the University takes about 3 months. We strongly recommend you plan your working visit to South Ural State University in advance.

Duration

The Working Visa is a multiple-entry visa issued for the maximum period of 3 years. You will need to further extend your visa after that. In case it is needed, the Immigration Services at South Ural State University will do the extension process for you.


Electronic letter of invitation

To get your Working Visa, you will need to get an electronic letter of invitation first. The electronic invitation is issued on the basis of your acceptance as visiting faculty to South Ural State University. Once you receive an electronic letter of invitation from South Ural State University, you can apply for your Working Visa.

Application length and visa documents*

The visa is usually issued within two weeks of your application. To apply for your Working Visa, you need to submit the following documents to the Embassy/Consulate:

  • Passport-size photo
  • Application form (you can fill out the form here).
  • Electronic invitation from South Ural State University**
