Results of International Congress held at SUSU Faculty of Journalism

Faculty of Journalism successfully held XII International Congress “Public relations and advertising: theory and practice”, which unified all the professors and students from 10 higher educational institutions of Germany, Kazakhstan and Russia and also the practicing specialists in the sphere of mass communication.

That scientific event was opened by the speeches of SUSU Rector Alexander L. Shestakov; Evgeny V. Maklakov, Deputy Head of Communications Policy Department of the Legislative Assembly for Chelyabinsk region; Alexey V. Zager, Deputy Head of Federal Tax Service Department for Chelyabinsk region, and Elena Y. Ermolaeva, Press-Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism for Chelyabinsk region.

Within the first day of the congress the students presented their scientific works and implemented projects in the following sections: “Advertising and PR-projects from A to Z”, “Advertisement and PR in business sphere”, “Advertisement and PR in political and social spheres” and “Text in mass communication system”. Also the students attended the photography contest-exhibition “Communicative rainbow: all profession hues”. The most interesting event for the beginning ad makers and PR-specialists was the contest of projects which was organized by Federal Tax Service Department for Chelyabinsk region. The first day of the congress ended up with master classes which were held by Olga P. Naumenko, Head of Promotion Department of “TNT-Chelyabinsk” Channel (“Modern Tendencies of Mass Media Promotion”), and Natalya V. Ushakova, Head of External Affairs Department of the Ministry of Agriculture for Chelyabinsk region (“Peculiarities of PR in State Government Bodies”).

The second day of the congress started with an unusual event – business game “Stealing of Brands” where the students solved complicated communicational problems. Then Aleksey A. Prokoshin, Marketing Director of LLC “Siti-Park”, held the seminar on “Marketing communications: what will happen in future?”, while Olga V. Davidenko, Head of Public Relations Department of Federal Postal Service for Chelyabinsk Region (Branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Pochta Rossii” / “Russian Post”) told about the peculiarities of cooperation with mass media.

In the course of the closing ceremony Lidiya K. Lobodenko, organizer of International Congress and Head of Mass Communication Department, expressed her gratitude towards the participants for the high level of represented research works and creative projects; also she thanked the organizers of the event for their professional way of arrangement.

  • 1st place – Lysyak Anton (Kazakhstan State University, Kazakhstan).
  • 2nd place – Dilman Viktoriya, Kobisskaya Irina and Fateeva Natalya (SUSU).
  • 3d place – Klepinina Kseniya, Nikiforova Darya (SUSU).

Section "Advertisement and PR in business sphere":

  • 1st place – Kabanova Alena (SUSU).
  • 2nd place – Gomzyakov Danil (SUSU).
  • 3d place – Navrotskaya Alina (Kazakhstan State University, Kazakhstan).

Section "Advertisement and PR in political and social spheres":

  • 1st place – Kulyasova Alexandra (SUSU).
  • 2nd place – Roshchupkina Darya (SUSU).
  • 3d place – Zaprudina Irina (Nizhny Tagil State Social Pedagogical Academy).

Section "Text in mass communication system":

  • 1st place – Sidorenko Ekaterina (SUSU).
  • 2nd place – Ignatova Anastasiya, Shcherbinina Yuliya (SUSU).
  • 3d place – Kasymzhanov Almas (Kazakhstan State University, Kazakhstan), Tyurina Marina (SUSU).
