SUSU Hockey Team “Polytechnic” to Take Part in the Student Hockey Challenge International Tournament

An international student hockey tournament Student Hockey Challenge-2019 will be held in Barnaul October 1st through October 6th. Eight teams will take part in the tournament: UK PRAHA of Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic; ACHA Team of the American University Hockey League, USA; UMB of Matej Bel University, Banská Bystrica, Slovakia; PGAFKSiT of Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, Kazan, Russia; UNN of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, Nizhni Novgorod, Russia; “Derzhava” of Derzhavin Tambov State University, Tambov, Russia; “Polytechnic” of South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russia; and “Dynamo-Altai-student” team the Altai Territory universities, Barnaul, Russia.

The “Dynamo-Altai-student” team is the winner of the first Student Hockey Challenge tournament, which took place in Krasnoyarsk in October 2018, and was a test event in terms of preparation for the 29th Winter Universiade. The tournament will be supported by the Russian Hockey Federation; Student Hockey League; Altai Territory Ministry of Sports; ROU Co.; Council of University Rectors of the Altai Territory. Matches will be held on two venues: “Karandin-Arena” and “Titov-Arena”.

The opening ceremony will take place in the Titov Arena on October 1st at 14:30.
