SUSU Significantly Strengthens its Standing in the International Ranking of the World's 2000 Top Universities According to MosIUR

South Ural State University has climbed 100 positions up in “The Three University Missions” world universities ranking in 2023. SUSU has also entered the top 30 in the rankings of Russian universities, having become the first among Chelyabinsk universities and the second among universities in the Ural Federal District.

“South Ural State University consistently maintains and improves its positions both in national and international rankings. It is the result of the systematic work of our team in many areas. SUSU rising in the rankings is proof of its global competitiveness, which is facilitated by the growing recognition of our university in the global educational space,” noted Rector Alexander Wagner.

“The Three University Missions” was initiated by the Russian Rectors’ Union in accordance with the instructions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The operator of the ranking is the Association of Compilers of Ratings, Rankings and Other Performance Evaluations (ACP), the members of which are leading ranking and research centres. The basic criteria of assessment are divided into three blocks: quality of education, science, influence of the university on society.

This year, the number of universities represented in the global ranking has increased from 1800 to 2000, which allowed it to become the most representational one in the international educational community. The list of the best universities comprises institutions from 112 countries, including 154 Russian universities.
