The competitive selection of tour guides continues as part of the preparation and holding of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum (Conductors of Meanings All-Russian Competition).
Specialists over 22 years of age are invited to participate: professional tour guides, translator guides, museum employees, self-employed excursion authors, entertainers and presenters from event agencies, senior students of universities and vocational education institutions in areas related to tourism and hospitality, excursion and museum management, local studies, foreign languages, and acting.
The competitive selection will take place in two directions: "Moscow and the Moscow Region" and "Regions". Two thousand people who successfully pass the first selection stage will begin training.
Based on the results of the training, participants will receive a badge with the opportunity to attend the entire event program of the exhibition, a state-issued certificate "Excursion Activities at Major Congress and Exhibition Events", and the title of a guide of the major international exhibition and forum. Guides who have been selected and trained will conduct excursions at the exhibition-forum venues for official delegations and children's groups. They will also be involved in work in the exhibition pavilions, the flagship guest centre, and VDNKh (All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy) information centres.
