The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia has published a ranking on media activity among Russian universities as of October 2023. South Ural State University has taken the 16th place in this list (+4 positions in the ranking).
M-RATE is the only such official ranking of Russian universities. It is published every month and takes into account the information activity on the Internet, in mass media, social media and instant messengers among the universities under the Ministry of Education and Science. In October our university's website entered the Top 10. In the ranking on interaction with mass media SUSU climbed 8 positions up at once and took the 13th place.
The top positions in the M-RATE are usually taken by the universities, which harmoniously develop their own media teams. The ranking is drawn up in such a way that small universities can compete with major federal universities. Every month a team of analysts processes the indicators of universities, while monitoring that the ranking does not take into account any anomalies related to mechanical collection of the indicators.
