SUSU Is Working on Strengthening its Positions in International Collaboration

As part of the anniversary week events, the heads of diasporas and consulates general have visited SUSU today. The meeting with the SUSU Rector Alexander Wagner was held in a festive atmosphere and its highlight was the mutual exchange of memorable gifts.

Alexander Wagner thanked the representatives of diasporas and consulates for collaboration, attention and that they found time to visit South Ural State University. The Rector emphasized the importance of the influence of interconfessional collaboration on fostering the youth of multinational people of the Russian Federation.

“Modern world agenda is determined not only by political and economic struggle, but also by the informational one. Today we need to pay special attention to the internal integrity of our country. Our work is extremely important for Russia: we should solidly stay strong and united, and that is what the interconfessional and intercultural collaboration is focused on. I am extremely grateful for your attention to our university and this matter,” said Alexander Wagner.

Heads of diasporas and consulates congratulated SUSU on its 80th anniversary and noted the great prospects and opportunities of the university in the international scale. The invited guests included representatives of organizations and institutions, such as:

– Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg;

– Chelyabinsk Regional Public Organization of the Tajik National and Cultural Centre “Somoniyon”;

– Uzbek National and Cultural Centre “BOBUR”;

– Chelyabinsk City Public Organization of the Kyrgyz National and Cultural Autonomy “Mekendeşter” (“Compatriots”);

– Assembly of Peoples of the Chelyabinsk Region;

– “Patriot” Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Authorities Support Foundation;

– Chelyabinsk Regional Public Organization “ISTIKLOL”;

As a sign of respect and gratitude for collaboration, the parties exchanged warm memorable gifts, personalized letters of acknowledgement and medals of honour.
