Research and Educational Centre of Business Development Technologies held a basic training on lean manufacturing for international students of the School of Economics and Management.
Master’s graduate students of the Department of Management majoring in the Strategic and Innovative Marketing and International Business programmes from Yemen, China, India, Ghana, Cameroon, Botswana and Iraq took part in the training.
The scientists of South Ural State University have been studying the military feature discourse of the Great Patriotic War. In 2019, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research has supported this project.
The research team has especially emphasized the Ural region. The fundamental research task to be solved is an integrated comparative analysis of the Ural image in domestic and foreign military feature discourses of the stated period. Under this project, 12 research articles have been published, 5 of them in periodicals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus databases.
Traditional Povolzhskaya Open Mathematical Olympiad in the honour N.I. Lobachevsky has wrapped up in Kazan. Among the participants were students of South Ural State University.
This time, the Olympiad gathered 170 students from Moscow, Innopolis, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Tyumen, Izhevsk, Ioshkar Ola, Maikop, Chelyabinsk, and other cities.

A team of scientists from South Ural State University has designed a hybrid intelligence algorithm aimed at earning money in financial markets. This project won in UMNIK, an all-Russian youth innovative projects competition on development of the IT-ecosystem being created by Sberbank within the framework of projects complying with promising “cross-cutting” technologies under the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation national program.

Students and staff of the SUSU Institute of Engineering and Technology are working on a wheel hub motor, a unique electric transmission for hybrid and electric vehicles. This work has been performed for two years within the project-based learning.

An event dedicated to All-Russian Banker’s Day was held at South Ural State University. The Department of Financial Technology of the SUSU School of Economics and Management was the initiator and organizer of the event.
Every year the Banker’s Day, a professional holiday of the banking system staff, is celebrated in Russia on December 2. The SUSU Sigma Conference Hall hosted the Banker’s Day interactive event in the format of business games, workshops and tutorials by the specialists of the leading bank-employers.
The main field session of the Priorities of Information Technologies school was held on November 22nd-24th, 2019. The school is organized with the support from the RosMolodezh Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. This grant was received and fulfilled by a group of students in the Business Information Technology, and Mathematics and Computer Science programmes under the guidance of their mentor – Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technology in Economics E.V. November 27th, the 12th International Science-to-Practice Conference on KNAUF in the World’s Construction Complex was held at South Ural State University. This even has long become a good tradition and a result of joint work of the KNAUF Training Centre of the Ural Marketing Directorate, Branch of OOO KNAUF GIPS, and the SUSU Institute of Architecture and Construction.
Over the recent years, much interest has been sparked by the synthesis of various nanoparticles and nanomaterials. Among the variety of modern materials, more and more attention is being drawn to powdered objects, which are produced using metal and non-metal powders as the source raw material. Scientists at South Ural State University have developed a mathematical model of aluminium nanopowder compaction, which can be used when producing new fine-grained materials through the method of compaction.
